Location

We're back in the Central Hotel, on Exchequer St. in Dublin. This is a lovely venue, situated within walking distance of many pubs (though that's the same thing as saying it's in Dublin), restaurants and tourist attractions.

Dates

The event will be running from the morning of Saturday July 31st to the evening of Monday August 2nd.

Cost

Entry and participation in all games over the full three days is €20.

Entry to a single game is €7 per game.

Timetable

Friday

The Friday before the National will consist of a casual walk-about tour of some of the interesting spots in Dublin for any of our foreign guests who are interested. In essence it's wandering around with some of the locals talking about the city and its history, both IC and OOC. This will begin at 3pm-ish at the Spire on O'Connell St.

It will also feature drinks in the Met bar from the evening until the early morning.

The Weekend

Doors open at 10am and close at 10pm.

Kindred of Ireland,

You are all cordially invited to the Gathering of Sligo, to partake of the celebrations surrounding the liberation of the Western Domains. It will be held within the Glasshouse Hotel, the site of the most recent hostilities and where the last forces of our enemies were finally vanquished. We will be renewing Ancient Anima's hospitality as per his yearly gathering. I politely remind all kindred that the meeting will be taking place under the auspice of Elysium and that any violations thereof will be dealt with swiftly. We are still suffering from the losses of our Campaign and an assessment of the Strengths of each Domain is necessary for the continued protection of those Domains too weak to defend their own borders.

Should personal grievances prove too fresh for the sake of Elysium weapons will be provided for Duels according to the Code Duello.

The Right Honourable Alder Benoit Fitzroy, Seneschal to the Anima, On Behalf of the Elders of Ireland.

Awakening

It is with great regret that I announce the resignation of Cuinteas of the Mysterium from the Council of All Ireland and his departure from this island. Councilor Cuinteas is stepping down from his position as Mysterium representative on the council citing irreconcilable differences with his fellow councilors.

Rather than fill Cuinteas's position, the Council has elected to ratify the new Lex Magica, thereby dissolving the current government. The new Lex Magica Hibernia shall come into effect at midnight on Saturday the 31st of July 2010. . As their last act of government the former Council of All Ireland are calling a general conclave of the Awakened of Ireland to elect the new government on Sunday the First of August 2010.

Forsaken

The birth of wolfblooded is something to be celebrated. However, when it is a shewolf upholding the oath, the risks are many. To this end, for near on two centuries now, the territory of the Lakeswimmers has been a sanctuary for any pregnant Uratha, be they Anshega or Urdaga. This year, two of the Ríordain Urdaga and an Anshega from the Hunt's Bounty pack are to give birth within the same week.

To celebrate the event, Great Granny Uí Ríordain has invited the Uratha of the country to witness and to remember the Oath "The Uratha shall Cleave to the Human", if not in practice then in spirit.

As a more recent announcement, Great Granny Uí Ríordain has extended the invitation to the DanaUr'im, both at home and abroad, and has assured their safety, coupled with very heavy threats to those who would violate her sanctuary.

Yo, Attention all spooks. As you may or may not know, the Gentlemen's Club is the biggest, and in point of fact, the only krewe in the city of Dublin. What you definitely don't know, but are about to know, is that we're having a really big party, at the request of the inimitable Valerie O'Connell, and we want you all to come along. There will be cake, party favours, and booze. Twilight-Networky types are particularly welcome!

If you're showing up from out of town, we can arrange accomodation, etc.

We're based in an old house not far from the city centre. You'll know the signs when you see them. If you do get horribly lost though, just look for the old homeless dude with all the dogs. Or, y'know, give me a ring.

Cheers, Finn, McDermot

To all Vampires,

You are cordially invited to attend a gathering to be held in Belfast Castle by the Riddermeester Josef Andersen. This year we are pleased to announce that we will be joined by a very special guest from the continent who it seems has some documents which he intends to sell, including portions of the fabled book of Nod.

As per usual no breach of hospitality will be accepted and personal feuds or conflicts must remain outside of this gathering. Security this year shall be provided by Sheik Sameh Al Din and his fellow Clanmates who have graciously offered their services at no cost in order to further peace and understanding amongst the cainites of Ireland. I look forward to reestablishing old friendships and meeting new faces.

Yours Sincerely

George Carmichael

Getting there

Map

Map to the hotel

From Foreign Parts

  • Dublin Airport is Ireland's major international airport. You will almost certainly be arriving there.
  • After arriving, catch the 747 bus to O'Connell Street (it has a giant needle on it, can't miss it).
  • From there head South, across the river Liffey and up Westmoreland St.
  • When you reach Trinity College, turn right onto College Green / Dame St.
  • Continue along until you reach South Great George's St. on your left.
  • Turn left up South Great George's St.
  • Exchequer St. should be the second street on your left.

Note: If you're coming in from outside of Ireland, please email me (nc at camarilla dot ie) so as I can give you my phone number. That way, if you get lost or need to know where to find a good pub, you can call me. I can't guarantee to have the answers but I can find you a Cammie who will.
